WorldGuard Region Generator guide

Generate WorldGuard region commands and YAML from corner coordinates, flags, owners, and priority — ideal for Minecraft spawn, shops, arenas, and other protected areas.

Protect spawn and shops faster

WorldGuard regions stop griefing, control PvP, and shape how players interact in hubs. Typing long /rg flag chains by hand invites mistakes. Enter two corners, set a name and world, choose flags, and copy a command list that uses WorldEdit positions and WorldGuard define/flag lines.

Owners and members fields fill the right player lists. Priority helps nested regions such as a shop inside a spawn claim behave the way you expect.

Common flags explained simply

Deny build and creeper explosions at spawn, allow interact for doors and NPCs, and turn PvP off in peaceful hubs. Greeting and farewell messages welcome players without extra plugin chat scripts.

YAML export is useful for backups or multi-world templates; commands are best when you are standing in the world with WorldEdit and WorldGuard installed.

After you paste the commands

Stand in the correct world, run the command block in order, then walk the border to confirm flags. Use /rg info on the region name if something feels wrong. Keep a text backup of the command list for the next map reset.

Regions do not replace regular world backups — they only control protection rules inside the area you defined.

Common questions

Do I still need WorldGuard installed?
Yes. This tool only generates commands and config snippets for a server that already runs WorldGuard (and WorldEdit for selection commands).
Why do commands use //pos1 and //pos2?
WorldGuard region define works from a WorldEdit selection. The generator sets both corners, then runs /rg define with your world and name.
Can I make polygon regions?
This generator focuses on cuboid regions from two corners. For polygons, define the region in-game and still use the flag section as a checklist.
